Thanks for your interest!
We'd love to have you visit FDC. Here are some of the questions people ask most often. Please call or email if you would like more info!

What is your service like?

Our service is contemporary and casual, about an hour and 15 minutes long. We start with a Call to Worship, inviting you to praise God with us. The Worship portion of service is a mix of both older songs, like hymns, and new contemporary worship songs, led by our musicians and singers.
We have a time of prayer together, led by one of our Elders, and a time of announcements for special events and meetings, led by a Deacon.

Children are dismissed to Children's Church before the message. Pastor Jason teaches and we close the service with the Benediction and music. Every Sunday we join in Communion. All Christians are welcome to take Communion, you don't need to be a member of our church.

What denomination are you?

FDC is a member church of the Assemblies of God, a 2 million strong body of Believers.
We were formerly known as the Washington Assembly of God. We remain tied to our fellowship, supporting her missions efforts and following her doctrinal beliefs, but functioning as a welcoming Christian church that has a more non-denominational feel in practices and policies.

All people, Christian, and those curious about Christianity, are welcomed; hence our name –
Faith Discovery Church.

What about my kids?

We love kids! We know little ones can squirm and vocalize during a service but we don't mind! We encourage you to explain to your children what we are doing. Sing! Join in reciting the creed. Stand when we stand. Children learn about worship by watching both you and us! If your child gets too fussy, you can take them to the foyer or ground-floor nursery and when they're ready, please come back to worship with the congregation!

We have Children's Church for age 18 months through 6th grade (split into two separate classes) during the sermon portion of our worship service. Pastor Jason will dismiss the kids at the start of his message. There are signs by the stairwells leading you to the correct room and teachers who will be ready to greet you. Always feel free to ask someone if you need direction.

Where do I park?

We have two lots, an upper and lower. We do ask that the parking spots in front of the church (where the awning is) be left for the elderly and disabled. We are fully wheelchair accessible.

What do I wear?

Our dress reflects our atmosphere - casual!
